Money School believes in the value of people working together. We always are working to show how two heads can make more "cents" than one. One of our community-oriented goals is to help young adults and youth money educators participate in our Wealth Building Fundamentals workshops through sponsored involvement! If you or your corporation would like to participate with us in this great initiative, please give Shawn Jordan a call at (403) 444-6863 or drop him an email at We look forward to working with you to create a professionally run FUNdraiser event for the benefit of all connected.
If you or a loved one has been harmed by gambling related behaviour, then you will appreciate this great FUNdraising initiative. Shawn and Drew's 21 Steps to STOP Gambling System and Workbooks serves as a valuable prevention and recovery intervention tool to help protect your household against the spiral of debt or savings loss that can result from problem gambling. STOP Gambling Inc. will contribute five percent of all 21 Steps to STOP Gambling System and Workbooks sales to sponsor Money School initiatives for young adults. If you know anyone in need of gambling recovery support or advice, send them to www.stop-gambling.com or purchase them a copy of 21 Steps to STOP Gambling System and Workbooks. This is an excellent Wealth PROTECTION resource for every household.
Our FUNdraising campaign with Sophies Pizza Parlor was an exciting success. In total, $4,398 was raised! Those proceeds were used to help sponsor our Spring "Wealth Building Fundamentals Workshop" held at Bankers Hall Auditorium. The Sophies PIZZA was on the lunch menu, and lots of valuable money information was shared on the whiteboard! We are going to bring this FUNdraiser to life again in 2007! Watch for your Sophies summer flier for more information and be sure to keep their number, (403) 242-1141, in mind when you are craving the best pizza this side of Greece! Thanks to John and Sophie plus all their patrons for your involvement with us.
Congratulations to Lori-Ann Esser! Lori-Ann is the lucky winner of a $500 gift certificate in the "Spend Wisely" with Eservus Contest sponsored by Money School "for young adults." People who registered for any Money School summer workshop prior to June 30, 2006, were among those eligible to win this valuable prize. Eservus is an online corporate concierge service that provides a variety of discounted tickets and value-added services to tenants in office buildings.
The Money School Human Resource Association of Calgary (HRAC) "Think Like a Pro" golf hole was an exciting success in 2007! This year, we raised awareness for Shawn and Drew's 21 Steps to STOP Gambling System and Workbooks with Calgary's Human Resources (HR) leaders, including Employee Assistance Program (EAP) representatives and HR benefits coordinators. Thanks to Shaw Cable 10 for providing TV coverage of Drew Hartt's abilities to hit his tee shots in professional form into the "much more than common cents" closest-to-the-pin circle with tournament participants! Drew Hartt is a legendary golfer in the eyes of many. He has talents similar to the likes of the late Moe Norman, whom Drew played with four times. He also played in the PGA Tour's 1997 Greater Vancouver Open. Drew is a former Canadian Tour member, has scored 8 course record 64's in competition, and made 15 holes-in-one. Plus, he has lots of "hartt" and personality. We are very proud to have Drew as a part of our "Think Like a Pro" FUNdraisng campaigns with Money School "For Young Adults." If you would like to have Drew and his Money School assistant, Shawn Jordan, involved in your company golf tournament, please let us know. We would welcome the opportunity to connect our FUNdraising drive to your corporate golf outing for the benefit of all involved. |
